For film composer Reza Safinia, music sparked a fire in his heart at a young age which quickly grew into a lifelong passion and successful career. As a boy he knew that whatever he decided to do with his life he wanted it to be in music. When he was old enough he began interning at a music studio and soon became an assistant before eventually becoming an engineer. It wasn’t long after when Safinia began producing his own work. He would go on to work as a record producer/engineer for some of the biggest names in music today such as Kylie Minogue and Britney Spears.

Before the initial release of Netflix’s Fuller House we speculated whether or not music would play as big of a role in the story line as it did in Full House. After finishing the first season of Fuller House I now have the answer: Yes! It absolutely does.
The Walking Dead has grown to be one of the most watched television shows of all time since it first appeared on our television screens in 2010. Billboard is known for having lists that don’t always seem to reflect the opinion of the general public today. Their list of top movie songs of all time is a great example of this. Movies and music have gone together since the very beginning of film history. Even before words were used in movies, music was used to help to convey feelings and emotion. Many times a movie’s song has become even more popular and well known than the movie itself.
Deadpool has been one of the most highly anticipated films of the year so far. Making A Murderer is Netflix’s most controversial series to date. If you are like most people then you have already started (if not already finished) the ten episode docuseries which follows the trial of Steven Avery and his nephew, Brendan Dassey, for the murder of Teresa Halbach. Every episode proves to be full of twists and turns in a story that is completely mesmerizing and at times unbelievable. It has sparked outrage and debates from viewers across the country. Throughout the series, no matter what changes occur and what road we are suddenly lead down through this captivating journey, one common thread can be found in the form of a haunting theme song played over shots of a sparse, Wisconsin landscape.
